That's what I have decided to do - take a photo leap. I have been taking photos of my kiddos and their sports for quite a while now, not thinking that it would ever amount to anything other than a whole bunch of photos taking up space on my computer hard drive. As the years went on, the pictures I took were changing, more crisp, more focused and I found that I loved having my camera in my hand capturing all the memories I could. As I accumulated more photos, I started putting together photobooks for the kids - of their sports, of our family vacations and a Sutton Year in Review (a yearly photobook update of our lives). Then I realized - why not share these photobooks with the other parents on the kids' teams? I'm pretty sure they would love to have the memories for their kids as well. People loved them and every year since, I am always asked when the photobook for said sport will be ready. It filled my heart knowing that people loved my work. Fast forward to 2022 - I had a few people ask if I would be interested in taking Senior Photos/Individual Photos. I was hesitant because mostly with sporting events photos, the focus is on the sport and not a person, and usually an athlete is so happy to see themselves in action. They usually are so ecstatic with the results of the photos that there isn't much criticism - which is what held me back. Until now - I am branching out, spreading my wings, setting out on a new path, taking a photo leap!
